Description
We held back one barrel of Prologue 2012 and let it age in Hungarian oak for an additional year (a total of 27 months). A little more spiciness (white pepper) shows through and some different wood notes (dark chocolate) are apparent. A slight hint of jamminess can be detected on the mid-palate reminiscent of cherry pie. The brick tones that were subtle in Prologue have become a little more evident in the Reserve.
